Picture Performance
Speckle is a physical phenomenon caused by the interference of laser light when it reflects on the screen surface. It is more commonly noticeable on high-brightness, triple-laser projectors such as Hisense C2 Pro/Ultra, C3 Pro/Ultra, Valerion Visionmaster Pro/Max, Xgimi Titan Noir Max, Xgimi Horizon 20 Pro/Max.
Grey Crystal and Black Crystal are metallic-coated materials and do not provide speckle suppression. If you are sensitive to speckle, we recommend Soft Matte Grey or Soft Matte White materials instead.
In most cases, when viewing distance exceeds 3 meters, speckle becomes almost invisible.
Black Crystal features a deep grey base combined with a specialized optical coating designed to improve black levels and perceived contrast.
The trade-off of this optical design is lower overall brightness compared with standard white or matte screen materials. To achieve the intended image performance, we recommend pairing it with a projector delivering at least 1600–1800 real lumens.
If the projector brightness is insufficient, the image may appear overly dim, especially in darker scenes, resulting in reduced shadow detail and lower overall visibility.
Yes, it is compatible with 4K, 8K, and 3D content. The screen itself does not add these functions; the projector must support the corresponding resolution or 3D functionality to display them.
We do not recommend using it in bright, direct daytime environments without light control. For the best performance during the day, drawing the curtains or dimming the lights is highly recommended. The Black Crystal delivers its absolute best, deep-black performance in a dim or darkened room.
Grey Crystal: The Grey Crystal features a higher gain reflection, delivering a noticeably brighter image. This makes it exceptionally good for 3D content, vibrant HDR scenes, and ensuring that peak highlights stay punchy and vivid.
Black Crystal: The Black Crystal has a much darker base tint, which dramatically improves black levels and room contrast. It excels at rendering dark, cinematic scenes with incredible shadow detail, providing a true home-theater feel for sci-fi, horror, or moody movies.
Our screen surface is designed to provide consistent optical performance across the entire screen, but it does not actively compensate for off-axis projection angles.
When a projector is installed off-center, brightness uniformity is usually determined more by the projector’s optical capabilities than by the screen itself. Features such as optical lens shift and better off-axis light control can help maintain a more even image.
Some brightness variation may still occur depending on the projection angle, projector model, and room conditions.

No, wall mounting brackets are not included in the standard package contents.

No. Black Crystal does not use a removable black backing layer.
It is not recommended to install the screen directly in front of a window, as the material is not fully light-blocking and some light may pass through from the back depending on the ambient lighting conditions.
Minor creases may occasionally occur during transportation or long-term packaging and are generally cosmetic rather than a functional issue.
We recommend leaving the screen fully extended for some time after installation. In most cases, the surface tension and material elasticity will gradually reduce the visibility of the marks.
If the creases remain noticeable after several days of use, please contact us with photos and we will help evaluate the situation.
Yes, it can be used outdoors, especially in the evening when visibility is better. To protect the motor and ensure long-term performance, avoid direct sunlight exposure and keep the screen away from water or moisture.

Yes. Available fabrics: Soft Matte White AT and Grey Crystal AT. We offer AT perforated version at no extra customization cost.
Dry Cleaning: Gently wipe the screen surface with a feather duster.
Wet Cleaning: If dry cleaning is not enough, gently wipe the surface with a tissue or soft cloth lightly dampened with clean water. Do not use alcohol, solvents, or any chemical cleaning agents.

I recently purchased the 110” ALR smart motorised rising black crystal screen (that’s quite a mouthful). While the price is a bit high, if you’re a home-cinema enthusiast, I can definitely recommend this screen.
Firstly, the build quality is great. The screen rises slowly but carefully. It’s not prone to rocking back and forth (except when my cats decide to play on the base of the screen). And the screen is held tight by two parallel wires.
I will say that there were a few scratches on the base (not the screen itself), which is not a problem for me. But may be something to consider. The scratches were on the underside of the base, so not visible.
The image quality is superb. I was blown away by the black levels when playing/watching darker video games/movies. It’s super clear, crisp, and generally pleasant to look at. On that note, there is a slight ‘sparkly’ effect that I had to get used to.
Finally I want to shout out the agent, Remmie, who helped me set up the purchase and gave me advice about the product specifications and usage. She was very helpful, and even checked which projector I have to make sure it is worth buying the screen.
If I had to make one complaint, it’s that the power cable is a tad short. It may just be my power outlet setup, but an extra 30cm on the cable would have been perfect. It might be possible to specify the power cable length requirement, as the screen was made to order.

I was a bit worried about screen waves before ordering, but the screen is actually much flatter than I expected. Once fully opened, the surface looks very smooth and I don't notice any wrinkles during normal viewing

The choice between them mainly depends on your sensitivity to speckle:
If you want to maximise image quality (colour contrast, deeper blacks, higher perceived sharpness, and stronger light handling performance) and you are not sensitive to speckle, then you can choose one of our crystal screens (Grey Crystal or Black Crystal).
If you are sensitive to speckle and want better speckle suppression, then we recommend choosing our Grey Soft or White Soft screens instead.
